Top Laptop Firms Recall Faulty Batteries

Most leading laptop makers have now had to issue recalls on faulty Sony-made batteries used in their machines.

The problem affects particular Sony laptop batteries which can overheat, and potentially catch on fire.

Top companies that have so far had to recall batteries for certain makes of laptops include Dell, Apple, Fujitsu and Toshiba.

Now Acer is also in talks with Sony to find out if they will need to set up a replacement programme to recall any batteries used in their laptops.
