New Year Message Is Malicious Spam

A new e-mail spam campaign that wishes the recipient a 'Happy New Year' actually contains a worm virus.
The messages come with an attached 'postcard' file with the extension '.zip' or '.exe'.

Security experts at VeriSign's iDefense Labs identified the code as a variant of one of the most common Trojan viruses on the Internet.
Users are advised never to open attachments such as these that arrive with unsolicited e-mails.
