Online Christmas Shopping Up By 50%
Sunday 18 December 2005
Sales on the Internet this Christmas have seen a huge rise since last year's figures. According to IMRG, November's UK internet sales are up 50% on the same time last year, whilst high street sales grew by only 0.9%.
However, fears about safety when buying online mean many consumers are still likely to buy from web sites of well known high street brands rather than Web-exclusive businesses, even though these can often have cheaper prices and better deals.
