McAfee Map Reveals Most Dangerous Domains

Security firm McAfee have created a map which shows that Russian sites and those ending in .info are among the most dangerous web sites to visit.

McAfee's map is based on identifying web sites that use spam, phishing or other malicious practices.

According to McAfee's data, 5.6% of web sites with Romanian (.ro) domain addresses are malicious sites and 4.5% of Russian (.ru) addresses are dangerous.

The riskiest domain type of all though is the .info address with 7.5% classed as dangerous. The .com address is next with 5.5%.

In terms of the safest sites to visit, sites from Finland, Ireland and Sweden are among the top, and web sites with the .gov (government) domain are the least likely to contain dangerous content.
