Google To Offer Free Presentation Software

Wednesday 18 April 2007

Google has announced it will offer a new tool to create presentations and slideshows, giving users a free alternative to software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

The presentation tool will be added to Google Docs & Spreadsheets, the free web-based office software that many see as a direct rival to Microsoft's commercial Office suite.

The new features will allow users to create and share presentations and slideshows.

Although Google deny that this latest addition to its free software range is intended to rival Microsoft's PowerPoint software, some see it as another step in the search giant's attempt to compete with Microsoft.
