Microsoft Previews Malware Protection Center

Microsoft is giving customers a preview of its forthcoming security web site which will give information about the latest malware threats.

The Malware Protection Center portal is due to launch in July, and will provide users with advice about the latest security threats affecting Microsoft products and how to deal with them.

The site contains a searchable encyclopedia of viruses, spyware and other malicious code, and lists the current most active threats.

A preview version of the web site is available now, and users can search for particular threats and find out their level of severity.

Not all entries have full information yet, but those that do include advice about how to detect and remove the threat.
