Webby Award 2007 Winners Announced

The winners of this year's Webby Awards, which honor the best in web content, include web sites such as YouTube, Flickr and eBay.

Winners were chosen in around 70 categories that rewarded web sites that have a unique design or functionality.

The winners were chosen by a mixture of public votes and a panel of web experts.

Flickr won the Best Practices award for enabling users to easily organize and share photos.

Person of the Year went to YouTube co-founders Steve Chen and Chad Hurley for YouTube's role in transforming the media landscape and its impact on pop culture.

Lifetime Achievement awards were given to rockstar David Bowie, for helping to set up various digital media and Internet services, and the eBay community who have made the auction site a cultural phenomenon.

Other winners included Sony, Last.fm, Facebook, HowStuffWorks and the BBC.
