1 Billion iTunes Songs Downloaded

Apple has announced the one billionth song download from its iTunes service. The song, Speed of Sound by Coldplay, was downloaded by Alex Ostrovsky from the USA.

The iTunes web site allows users to buy digital music at a cheaper cost than buying the CD from music shops. The tracks can be downloaded and transferred to the popular iPod music player.
