Friday 14 September 2007

A security flaw in older versions of Windows Live Messenger and MSN Messenger could allow an attacker to take control of a user's PC.

The vulnerability allows malicious code to be run when a a user accepts a webcam or video chat invitation.

The infected PC could then be taken over by the attacker.

Microsoft is urging users to update to the latest version 8.1 of Windows Live Messenger to protect against this problem.
