UK Surfers Spend Nearly 24 Hours A Week Online

A new survey shows British web users on average spend nearly 24 hours a week online, equivalent to 50 days a year.

The survey by uSwitch reveals that almost 10 million UK homes have broadband Internet and users spend on average 23.5 hours a week on the Web.

UK surfers spend most of this time browsing web sites, along with playing games online, e-mailing, shopping, downloading music, listening to online radio and online banking.

uSwitch also suggest many users are paying too much for their current Internet package and not taking advantage of the many cheap broadband deals now available.
