Online Game Has User Details Stolen

Monday 11 September 2006

A popular online game called Second Life has had its customer details stolen in a security breach.

Linden Lab, the creators of the game, sent an e-mail to all 650,000 players informing them a hacker has broken into the game's user database which contains names, addresses, passwords and credit card information.

The e-mail urges all users to change their passwords.

Second Life allows people to adopt a fantasy life in a 3D online world where they can interact, explore and build a home or a business.
