Internet Explorer has long been the world's most popular web browser for viewing web pages on the Internet.

Internet Explorer (IE) is a free program developed by Microsoft, the creators of the Windows operating system.

Internet Explorer has in the past come under attack from critics because of its security vulnerabilities, though Microsoft has worked hard to improve the safety of newer versions, which include features such as a Phishing filter and domain name anti-spoofing.
