Beep Beep

Hi,


I'm new to this forum so thanks for taking the time to look at my post.

Anyway about my question- after i've been on my PC for a while an annoying alrm sound starts going off and no matter what i do i cant switch it off. It sound like it's coming from the mother board, does anyone know what this could be?

Is there any free software out there that i can download for a diagnistics check?

It might be an overheating problem. If the alarm is a temperature warning, the system is getting too hot and the fans aren't cooling it down enough. That could be caused by a build up of dust, if it is you'd need to switch off your PC, open the case and use something like a can of compressed air to blow the dust out.

Hi,

Thanks so much for this advice. It started beeping again and i took the sides off and cleaned the inside and the beeping stopedstraight away.
