can any 1 help when i click on nero shrink and anything else i get this message and dont no what 2 do this file does not haveprogame associted with it forperfoming this action, create an association in the folder options control panel any 1 help plzzzzzzzzzz

The message you're getting means that Windows doesn't understand what to do with the file you're trying to open. Usually it means the file has lost its 'file association extension' which tells Windows what program to use to open it. The extension is a dot and 3 characters at the end of the filename, for example:
letter.doc or picture.jpg

If you can't open any programs at all it is possible you may have a virus which prevents Windows from running program files that have the extension .exe

The first thing to try, if you have a virus checker and are able to run it, is to do a scan for viruses but if you can't I will explain some other ways we can try to fix this problem.

i have the problem where i can not open any program... however i do not think it is due to a virus (maybe it is but i doubt it) i think it might have to do when i either was changing the permissions or unticked some programs to run up at startup using the msconfig
